Gemabank (International Medical Center for Biomaterials, MOEX: GEMA) has changed its rates for the storage of biomaterials. The price of cryogenic storage of biomaterials will increase to RUB 9 thousand per year from April 1.

However, the cost of long-term storage with advance payment for 5/10/20 years in 2023 remains the same, starting from RUB 4 thousand per year of storage.

According to Gemabank’s Director Alexander Prikhodko: “The price for storing biomaterials in our bank has remained at the same level of up to RUB 7 thousand per year since 2017. Over this period, inflation amounted to more than 40%. With our expertise, temperature control system and automatic liquid nitrogen supply system, Gemabank offers its clients efficient and safe long-term biomaterial storage.”

Gemabank maintains a high level of quality and safety in storing biomaterials at one of the best price levels compared to other industry leaders. The annual cost of cryogenic storage of samples in personal banks in Europe and the USA ranges from RUB 11 to 15 thousand after conversion.

The International Medical Center for Processing and Cryostorage of Biomaterials is part of the Human Stem Cell Institute group (HSCI, MOEX: ISKJ) and, under the Gemabank brand, offers personal storage of biomaterials, mainly hematopoietic stem cells. The company is also developing gene therapy drugs to treat blood and immune system diseases.
