On October 14, 2024, Genetico shareholders approved an increase in the company's authorized capital at an extraordinary meeting by issuing 7 million additional ordinary shares through a private placement at a price of RUB 34 per share.
On July 2, 2025, Artgen Biotech Group purchased all Genetico shares as part of the private placement.
The total investment of Artgen Biotech Group amounted to RUB 238 million. As a result of the placement, Artgen Biotech Group's share in Genetico increased from 76.25 % to 78.10 %.
Genetico plans to use part of the funds raised to expand its portfolio of gene therapy drugs for the treatment of orphan diseases.
